Remember the days when we could gather? Under this headline, MCV released the highlights video of the MCV/Develop Awards 2020. It was one of the last award ceremonies we filmed before the lockdown.
The MCV/Develop Awards 2020 are the UK’s only event for the whole games industry. For the first time after almost 20 years, the MCV Awards were combined with the Develop Awards to celebrate the achievements in all the key areas: development, publishing, retail and distribution, marketing, PR and more.
The big winners this year were Nintendo, taking home both the Major Publisher and Platform of the Year awards, and Media Molecule who received the trophy for Major Studio and Gameplay Innovation for Dreams. Rare was awarded MCV/DEVELOP Legend award for the studio’s “incredible and ongoing body of work.”
