It’s that time of the year again where the Music Week Awards would normally take place. Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, this year’s awards had to be postponed and are now scheduled to go ahead on Monday 21st September 2020 – in response to and in line with revised government guidelines. While we are waiting, it’s the perfect time to look back at last year’s event.
Hosted at Battersea Evolution, the Music Week Awards 2019 were the biggest ones ever. Over 1,300 of the industry’s leading figures attended the event to recognise the achievements in the world of labels, publishing, live, retail, A&R, radio, marketing and PR. Firmly established as the unrivalled badge of excellence for the music sector, the awards were launched to raise standards across the industry by showcasing top class performance and innovation.
The awards were hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ and television presenter Jo Whiley.
