Today, we are going to present to you the Women in Music Awards 2019 highlights video.
If you were expecting to see the previous year’s highlights video after yesterday’s presentation of a tribute video that we produced for the 2018 edition of the awards, please check out our portfolio. The 2018 edition of the Women in Music Awards can be viewed in our portfolio, so we will not include again in our little video challenge.
The annual Women in Music Awards celebrates the most inspirational and influential women in the music business. In 2019, the awards was hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenter Alice Levine. The event was completely sold out. Among those being honoured were DJ and television presenter Annie Mac as well as Louise Wener, one of Britpop’s biggest female stars. She was the lead singer and guitarist of the 90s band Sleeper. Camille ‘Kamille’ Purcell won the Music Creative Award. The award for Outstanding Contribution went to Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis.
What makes this video so special is that it was filmed entirely by one person only.
